1. | Call the Meeting to Order |
Committee Chair, Mathew Siscoe, took the chair and called the meeting to order in Council Chambers at 3:05 p.m.
2. | Adoption of Agenda |
The Chair requested the addition of the "Chair's Report" to the agenda following the Adoption of the Minutes.
That the Budget Standing Committee adopt the agenda for Thursday, January 14, 2016, as amended.

There were none declared.
4. | Adoption of Minutes |
There were none to adopt at this time.
5. | Chair's Report |
The Chair asked that the Budget Standing Committee members make themselves available to the members of Council in order that they can have as fulsome discussions as possible and ensure that Council is aware of the discussions taking place during the budget meetings.

The order of the presentations was reversed.
6.1. | Departmental Presentation Fire and Emergency Management Services - Dave Wood, Fire Chief |
Dave Wood, Director of Fire and Emergency Management Services, presented a departmental overview, including the proposed operating budget.
That the Fire and Emergency Management Services budget be referred back to staff to review non-fixed costs to try to get to the 2.85% increase.

That, in addition, Fire and Emergency Management Services be directed to see what a 2.85% increase would look like in the overall budget.

6.2. | Departmental Presentation Performing Arts Centre - Steve Solski, Executive Director |
Steve Solski, Executive Director of the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre, presented a departmental overview, including the proposed operating budget. He stated the main reason for the increase in the PAC's budget in 2016 is due to the Centre operating for a full year in 2016 rather than six months in 2015.
That the Budget Standing Committee receive the departmental presentation by Steve Solski, Executive Director of the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre.
