Addition to 2015 Schedule of Meetings for City Council and General Committee - March 23, 2015

 

That Council direct staff to prepare and publish an agenda for an additional Council and General Committee meeting to be held on March 23, 2015, in Council Chambers at 6:30 p.m.

Withdrawal of Motion to Refer - Open Air Fires and Barbecue By-law, Report Number FEM-315-2014

 

WHEREAS, at the General Committee meeting of December 15, 2014, Council approved the motion to refer the report from Fire and Emergency Management Services regarding Open Air Fires and Barbecue By-law to staff for an additional report to include information on comparisons with local area municipalities, including statistics on how a more restrictive by-law, such as this, affects fire calls in the area; and

 

WHEREAS the mover of the motion met with the Fire Chief to address some concerns and is now requesting staff withdraw the motion for more informaiton.

 

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Council consider the original report at the February 23, 2015 General Committee meeting.
