| 10.1 | Cancellation of a Regular Scheduled Meeting of Council and General Committee
Whereas Council, at its Regular Meeting held October 7, 2013, approved the 2014 Schedule of Meetings for Council and General Committee; and
Whereas Election Day is October 27, 2014; and
Whereas Procedural By-law 2007-311, as amended, Section B10 states: “From and after the Inaugural meeting, Council shall meet regularly on Mondays, bi-weekly; and
Whereas sub-section (a) states: “unless otherwise provided by a motion duly put and passed by majority vote at the meeting at which the motion is put.”
Therefore Be It Resolved that Council amend the 2014 Schedule of Meetings, approved October 7, 2013, by deleting Monday, October 20, 2014 due to its close proximity to the 2014 Municipal Election and October 20, 2014 being designated as an Advanced Polling day. FORTHWITH
